Euclid Law Breakfast seminar – The CMA’s evolving consumer enforcement

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent breakfast seminar on the CMA’s evolving consumer enforcement agenda with the CMA’s Emma Cochrane.

Our Partner Amy McMeekin shares her key takeaways and thoughts on what the next year may hold for consumer enforcement in her post below:

Amy McMeekin “It has been just over a year since the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act introduced a revamped and more powerful consumer enforcement regime, and it’s fair to say that the CMA’s consumer team has been busy!

It was an absolute pleasure to host Emma Cochrane at our Euclid Law breakfast seminar last week, to discuss how the CMA is deploying its consumer powers in practice, what has been achieved in the first year of the regime, and what may lie ahead as we move into year two.

It seems quite likely that the year ahead will be another busy one for the CMA.

A huge thank you to Emma and to all who joined us (despite the tube strike!) for making it such an engaging, interesting and enjoyable(!) discussion.”
