Amy McMeekin

Partner

Amy advises clients across the full spectrum of competition and consumer law, with extensive experience navigating complex regulatory reviews and investigations, particularly in the retail sector. She has advised clients across a wide range of industries, including chemicals, steel, hotel and leisure, communications and FMCG.

Dual qualified in England & Wales and South Africa, Amy advises on matters including anti-competitive agreements, mergers, joint ventures, market reviews and studies, and consumer protection. She also supports businesses in developing and implementing practical, effective and user-friendly competition and consumer law compliance and training programmes.

Amy began her career in South Africa at ENSAfrica, the continent’s largest law firm, before moving to London in 2014 to join Slaughter and May’s competition team. There, she advised major international clients on EU and UK merger control, abuse of dominance, anti-competitive agreements and State aid.

Before joining Euclid Law in February 2026, Amy spent six years in-house at Sainsbury’s, where she led a team advising senior stakeholders across Sainsbury’s and Argos. Her work covered market studies and reviews, mergers, antitrust and competition litigation, and the development of a comprehensive consumer protection compliance policy addressing areas such as pricing, green claims, advertising and fake reviews.

With her extensive in-house experience, Amy brings commercially astute, pragmatic advice tailored to the realities of business decision-making.
