Bio
Sarah Long is a partner in the London office of Euclid Law. Before joining Euclid Law in 2015, Sarah worked for Allen & Overy (London), Jones Day (Brussels) and for the OECD Competition Committee (Paris).
Sarah advises on all aspects of UK and EU competition law, and has significant experience working with both the CMA and European Commission on a number of high-profile cases. Sarah’s experience spans a variety of sectors including financial services, oil and gas, residential construction, consumer goods and travel. Sarah has particular expertise in online markets and the digital economy.
Sarah is recognised as one of 30 most notable competition professionals in private practice (Women@competition/Parr, February 2017), and recommended in the Legal 500 for being ‘very hard-working and capable’ and providing ‘commercially-focused advice’ (Legal 500 EU & Competition, 2017 and 2018).
Sarah is co-editor of the Competition Law Journal and a CEDR qualified Mediator.

- CityJet on its long-term wet lease arrangement with Aer Lingus, involving very rare strategic exit rationale
- BidonThis as a third-party complainant resulting in the CMA’s investigation into ATG Media’s suspected concerted practices in the supply of auction services in the UK.
- AXA in relation to the CMA’s market investigation into digital comparison tools and follow on investigation into a price comparison website (PCW) for its use of most favoured nation clauses in the home insurance market.
- National Lighting Company in relation to the CMA’s domestic light fittings Resale Price Maintenance (RPM) investigation.
- NHBC in relation to the CMA’s investigation into structural warranty service undertakings for new homes.
- Statoil Fuel & Retail on its merger with Shell’s retail fuel network in Denmark before the European Commission.
- EEX/Powernext as a third-party complainant in the acquisition of Trayport by ICE before the CMA.
- HSBC on the European Commission’s Credit Default Swap (CDS) investigation.
- DLG in relation to the CMA’s Private Motor Insurance Market Investigation.
